Maison Martin Margiela For H&M?

The designer collaborations with H&M have been nothing but successful (if we’re going to use an understatement), so rumours that Maison Martin Margiela and H&M teaming up for a one-off collection have understandably blown up the internet.

While nothing’s been 100% confirmed, Vogue UK claims “market sources” are already in the know about the Margiela-H&M union, but an H&M spokesperson has stated the obvious: “We never comment on rumours.” (But they didn’t say “no”!)

If Maison Martin Margiela IS the latest fashion house to team up with H&M, they’ll follow in the footsteps of Versace, Marni, Lanvin, Karl Lagerfeld and Stella McCartney. They’re also renowned for a unique take on feminine vs. masculine fashion, so Maison Martin Margiela will be quite the departure from last year’s bright floral Marni collection.

That is, if these “market sources” are telling the truth.
