Currently fronting Versace’s inaugural childrenswear campaign, Cindy Crawford’s daughter Kaia Gerber has made her official modelling debut, proving that if you’re related to Cindy Crawford, you will skip that awkward pre-teen theme.
Of course, this latest development makes sense – especially since Cindy Crawford was a former muse for the late Gianni Versace.
“Like her mother, Kaia has a very special gift,” Donatella Versace said of Gerber. “The camera really, really loves her. Having Cindy on set for the shoot took me back to all the amazing Avedon shoots we worked on together. It was such a special treat watching Kaia walk in her mother’s footsteps!”
And Cindy Crawford couldn’t be more thrilled. Speaking fondly of her daughter, she seems to have delighted in establishing the family legacy.
“I’m so thrilled that Kaia was chosen to be part of the first Young Versace campaign,” she said. “I have so many fond memories of the times I spent with Gianni and Donatella. There is something very special about the House of Versace. Being on set with my daughter and watching her in front of the camera was a fantastic experience. I am so proud of her.”
