After the “big reveal” at the MTV Video Awards last month, the world has been waiting with baited breath for more on Jay-Z and Beyonce’s upcoming bundle of joy.
So imagine the controlled hysteria when B took to the Australian news program, Sunday Night to announce that as of February, Jay-Z will have midnight feedings to add to his 99 Problems. (Ha!)
Explaining that the baby “has already changed [her] life”, and gushed about the soon-to-arrive offspring supreme: “My husband and I have been together for 10 years – all of my 20s – and I just feel like it’s time and I’m very grateful that God has blessed me with the biggest gift any human being can have. I think because I’ve accomplished a lot of things for myself and I really know who I am, I didn’t rush into anything. If it’s any time, right now is the time, and I’m so happy.”
The singer went on to explain that in addition to her other life lessons, she learned the importance of taking time off, and in order to prioritizing, she learned that “the world is so much bigger than people screaming your name”.
Of course, one could say that the world is so big that naturally, bloggers have taken to the internet to claim that because B’s bump seemed so big in September, there’s no way she’s actually due in February – or maybe even at all. And to that we can all agree that even Kanye wouldn’t pull a publicity stunt that big.
