After a whirlwind courtship, Kim Kardashian getting ready to walk down the aisle with her boyfriend of six months and New Jersey Nets forward, Kris Humphries.
Plastered all over the front cover of this week’s People Magazine, Kris and Kim’s proposal story is actually pretty romantic. On May 18, Kim arrived home to find Kris in her bedroom, down on one knee, with four red petals that read “Will You Marry Me?”
“I didn’t expect this at all,” Kim said of the proposal. “I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now.”
Let’s talk about this ring for a second. Brace yourselves ladies, the desciption alone is enough to get your heart racing. The ring is custom designed from Lorraine Schwartz and with 20.5 carat diamonds. Yes, you read that right, 20.5 carats!
“I just knew I wanted it to be big,” said Kris, who recruited some help from Kim’s mom Kris (is it weird to marry a guy who has the same name as your mom?).
“Kris really didn’t want a big celebration, but he had jokingly told my mom he’d be fine if there were mini-horses there,” Kim said of the engagement. “My mom brought out two mini-horses, covered in glitter, for us! It was hysterical!”
Congrats to the happy couple! I, for one, cannot wait to see what Kim decides to walk down the aisle in. I can only imagine how fantastic that dress is going to be.
