Victoria’s Secret Model Quits

It’s many women’s dream to be a Victoria’s Secret angel, so even if attaining that goal meant compromising your beliefs, would you still do it?

Kyle Bisutti won’t – the model has quit the gig because it clashes with her Christian values.

“My body should be only for my husband and it’s just a sacred thing,” she said. “I didn’t really want to be that kind of role model for younger girls because I had a lot of younger Christian girls who were looking up to me and then thinking that it was okay for them to walk around and show their bodies in lingerie to guys.”

Kyle Bisutti joined the likes of Miranda Kerr, Heidi Klum and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley on the Victoria’s Secret catwalk in 2009. Kyle Bisutti won a competition that saw her beat 10 000 other hopefuls to the prize. However, her “biggest dream” was not worth it.

“Victoria’s Secret was my absolutely biggest goal in life,” Kylie Bisutti told FOX411. “And it was all I ever wanted career-wise. “I actually loved it while I was there, it was so much fun and I had a blast. But the more I was modelling lingerie – and lingerie isn’t clothing – I just started becoming more uncomfortable with it because of my faith. I’m Christian, and reading the Bible more, I was becoming more convicted about it.”

“It is a very hard industry to be in without falling into things you don’t want to do,” Kylie Bisutti continued. “I’ve fallen into many things that I wouldn’t have wanted to do, it’s a very tempting industry.”

The model also spoke about her intentions to keep marriage “special”, especially with the U.S.’ high divorce rate. Kylie Bisutti will still model – just no more underwear for the retired Angel.
