Victoria Beckham wants to keep her daughter Harper away from cosmetics for as long as possible, so the former Spice Girls ensures her almost 2-year-old daughter is never around when she is applying her own makeup.
"I can't put makeup on when Harper's around, because she would try and do the same thing immediately," Beckham told Icon, a German magazine. "She's a tomboy around her brothers."
The fashionista went on to say that she wants her kids to remain kids for as long as possible. But, when it came to her 10-year-old son Romeo starring in his own Burberry campaign, she just couldn't say 'no.'
"After Christopher Bailey had spoken to me, I asked [Romeo] if he wanted to do it and he said, 'Sure, sounds like fun.' And he had a lot of fun — he didn't take himself too seriously," she said. "Will he do it again? I don't know. He's more interested in school and sports right now. The kids are under a lot of pressure to perform and I don't want to pressure them. [I want them to be] keen and reach as much as possible, but the most important thing is that they are happy."
As the four children to a very famous couple, it's easy to assume that the Beckham kids are very spoiled. But their mom says she tries to keep them humble and reminds them just how lucky they are.
"They lead a very privileged life but they don't get everything they ask for. We always tell them how lucky they are," Beckham said. "[Cruz once asked], 'Why is it good to be famous, mum?' and my answer was, 'When you're famous, you have a certain power to do good things.' That's how we started talking about charity. Cruz was really sweet and said, 'When people listen to what I say, I could spread some good messages.' It was a nice conversation to have with my child who's only eight-years-old."
