Top 6 Performances at the 2016 Grammys

The Grammys are a showcase for the year in music. Between the performances, the tributes, the fashion and the actual awarding, the night is packed with talent. There are always a few misses in a show with so many performances (I'm looking at you, Pitbull. Why were you even there?), but the 2016 Grammys definitely managed more hits this time around. Here are my picks, from the expected favourites to some less expected winners.

Alabama Shakes – “Don’t Wanna Fight”

This is one of those groups that just make sense as soon as you hear them. They are so clearly talented and create such original music that they seem unstoppable. And they are regular people! They started playing together in high school. Brittany Howard is 28 years old (which is something I can never wrap my head around when I hear her sing). She was a US Postal Service worker until she became a full-time musician. They are normal people who happen to be amazing at what they do.
