Shania Twain is set to star in her very own reality show, Why Not? With Shania Twain. The show, which is to air on OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network), will follow Shania as she takes her career back into her own hands and attempts her second rise to fame.
The 44-year-old Canadian country crooner split from her husband of almost 15 years back in 2008, and the show is meant to help reground the singer and place the pieces of her life back together.
“The show will follow [Twain] as she begins her climb back to the top, a personal journey filled with risk, revelations and unexpected adventures,” says a statement from OWN.
It definitely seems like Twain is trying to get her career back on track. In the last few months, she has been posting video blogs on her website as she travels the world, cares for her 8-year-old son, and embarks on a brand new romance with her current boyfriend Frederic. Shania was also a guest judge on the current season of American Idol.
They haven’t yet announced when Why Not? With Shania Twain will premiere, but I would definitely like to see the songstress get her groove back. Would you watch?
