Rihanna is the New Face of Balmain

Rihanna stars in the latest campaign for Balmain. She helps promote the brand's Spring/Summer 2014 collection in ads that are due to appear in magazines beginning in January. 

"In front of the camera, she makes you feel like she is the only girl in the world," said Olivier Rousteing, Balmain's creative director. "When the woman that inspires you wears your creations, your vision feels complete." 

The ads were shot in New York by photographers Inez can Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, and was styled by Rihanna's personal stylist Mel Ottenberg. In the ads, Rihanna sports her signature funky style, wearing a pink hounds-tooth coat in one and a denim outfit in the second. In both, her looks are topped off with chunky gold jewelry, a wavy bob, and her signature tattoos. 

Rihanna herself is a lover of the French label and can constantly be seen wearing Balmain's looks. It seems to me that this campaign was a match made in heaven.
