Lots of big news happening around these parts: 1) Comic Con 2) Royal Baby watch, and now 3) Jesse Tyler Ferguson has married his longtime boyriend, Justin Mikita.
The two tied the knot in New York on Saturday (according to People) after getting engaged last year in Mexico. Ferguson, 37, and Mikita, 27, had been together for two years before that, so this official union was a long time coming.
While official statements have been kept to a minimum (read: there have been none), guests of the wedding and Ferguson himself have taken to Twitter to express their happiness.
"Never been happier! XO Goodnight!" he tweeted early this morning.
"I think the service at Justin and Jesse's wedding was so beautifully honest," tweeted guest Nigel Lythgoe. "It was so emotional that when we weren't laughing we were crying."
Guests of the couple included Lythgoe, Ferguson's Modern Family co-star Julie Bowen, Cat Deeley, and Mary Murphy from So You Think You Can Dance, and was officiated by Tony Kushner, playwright and screenwright.
But is anyone really surprised by how lovely and great this wedding sounded?
