Remember how amped we got for the Great Royal Wedding of 2011? (Where does the time go and how do we get it back and are my commemorative dish towels worth anything yet.) Well the next few months will be Kimye madness, naturally, so you can forget everything you thought about Kate and Will's nuptuals minus (dun, dun, dun) the dress.
Yes, according to The Telegraph, Kim Kardashian wants a wedding dress like Kate Middleton's — or at least one similar to the Alexander McQueen gown the Duchess sported back in April 2011. (#NeverForget) And do you want to know why? Of course you do. We all do. Here's what a source had to say.
"Kim is absolutely obsessed with everything Kate and William do," it said. "Kim loves Kate's style and while she is planning on several gowns for the big day, she wants the one for the ceremony to look like Kate's dress."
Several gowns. Several gowns.
Several.
Gowns.
For her wedding? Her second wedding? I mean, cool, but . . . guys, come on. COME ON! Let's all dial it down here, shall we? This is a WEDDING. A party! Not even Kate Middleton wore more than one gown, and she is an actual Princess, kind of. (Duchess? Same thing? No, but . . . it's fine.) Anywho.
McQueen's camp was of course, on contract, to keep their mouths shut about Middleton's dress until the day of the wedding, and The Telegraph claimed it "wouldn't put it past" Kardashian to give McQueen's Sarah Burton a little cash-money to try and create the same look.
Honestly, I would have so much respect for Kim and Kanye if they recreated the Royal Wedding piece by piece. Seriously? You would too. Because truly, Kanye is king. Or a god. He is a god. Where the f— are his damn croissants?
