Jack White and Karen Elson Throw a Divorce Party

Well, we’ve got good news and bad news. The bad news? Jack White and his wife Karen Elson are calling it quits on their six-year marriage.

The good news? They’re such close friends that they threw a divorce party to celebrate.

In a statement, the former White Stripes frontman and his soon-to-be ex explained that they “remain dear and trusted friends and co-parents to our wonderful children Scarlett and Henry Lee” and that they “feel so fortunate for the time [they] have shared and the time [they] will continue to spend both separately and together watching our children grow”. 

And then it continues: “An evening together in Nashville to re-affirm our friendship and celebrate the past and future with close friends and family.”

Can we get a “heck yes” for progression? The couple have also issued a press release calling the soiree a “positive swing bang hum dinger”, and spent last night in Nashville with friends, photos, memories, and “drinks with alcohol in them”.

Now if only Hollywood could take notice.
