On the heels of 47-year-old Kelly Preston announcing that she is having a child, Celine Dion, 42, is the latest 40-plus star who will be sporting a baby bump as she’s just announced that she’s 14 weeks pregnant. The singer and her husband have been trying to add another baby to their brood for a long time now and finally their dream has come true and they will be expecting twins.
She was just hoping for one baby, says Celine’s manager and husband, Rene Angé©lil, who is 68. And the news that we are having two is a double blessing!
Celine, who is 42 years old and the mother of a 9-year-old son, has tried in-vitro fertilization multiple times and even resorted to acupuncture to improve her chances of getting pregnant. The news that she is now pregnant with twins comes 10 months after her publicist first reported that Celine was expecting a sibling for her son, Rene-Charles, only for her to lose the baby shortly after.
Celine is currently working on new albums in both French and English and she will be returning next year to perform at Caesar’s Palace for a three-year stint. However, by then she probably won’t have much time or energy to be belting it out on the stage with three kids at home.
