If you’re starting to compile your list of best and worst dressed for the year, you can leave Cate Blanchett off of it — she doesn’t care.
In a refreshing turn, the actress opened up about her red carpet style, which, sure, hasn’t always been up to par in a traditional sense. But do you know what? It’s because she legitimately doesn’t care what people think.
“If you’re worried about that stuff, you can tell,” she told The Huffington Post. “I mean, I’ve had some doozies. They don’t always work. But who are you dressing for? You can’t always dress for Us Magazine. [Being named worst dressed] I think is a badge of honour.”
Well you go, girl! (YGG.) Dress for yourself, and take all the risks you want Hollywood would probably be even more interesting if everyone adopted Cate’s mantra.
Though in all fairness, it has to be said that Cate Blanchett has been hitting it out of the park.
