Can you imagine if you woke up one morning and there was a new Adele album just waiting for us? (I can. And I do. All the time.) Well according to Oh No They Didn't, that might actually be what happens. Correct, friends: Adele might pull a Beyonce. (Cue: dramatic gasps.)
Word on the street is that the singer's follow-up to 2011's 21 is ready and waiting for the perfect time to drop, so we should prepare ourselves for the upcoming . . . 25. (Well I mean, how weird would it have been if she'd named it something with words, you know?)
"The plan is to release internationally on iTunes as a complete surprise without any previous promotion or build-up publicity campaign," said a source. "The shock tactics worked amazingly well for Beyonce and the feeling is Adele's new album is so widely anticipated it doesn't need a long promotional build-up."
PREACH.
So when do we get it? The Daily Star predicts an October/November drop, but Adele's last tweet was a cryptic "see you later in the year." So what is later? I mean, now is later. August is later. Basically any moment after this exact one is later . . . so basically, we should be and stay prepared. (Emotionally, since we all know the doozy 21 did on our hearts.)
We deserve this.
