When Dove Cameron and Måneskin frontman Damiano David got engaged at the beginning of this year, we knew this couple’s wedding style was going to be elite. Her unique engagement ring marked the beginning of that fashionable narrative. On January 3, Damiano popped the question, presenting Cameron with a custom piece by Italian house Bernini High Jewelry featuring an Asscher-cut pink diamond surrounded by a shimmering halo of pavé diamonds in a vintage rose gold setting.
We had been anticipating this wedding—and what the glamorous couple would wear—since their recent interview with Italian Vogue, when they shared they would be getting married this September but did not reveal a specific date. It turns out they kept us waiting almost until month’s end: Cameron and David made it official last week with two weddings in Italy—an intimate town hall civil ceremony in Montalcino, Tuscany, followed by a bigger bash a few days later at 12th century castle, Castiglion del Bosco, which is a Rosewood Hotel also in Tuscany.
They served some incredible wedding looks, most notably matching sleek white suits for their civil ceremony.
Cameron wore an oversized Giorgio Armani suit in bridal white, including an elongated jacket belted at the waist, flowing wide-leg pants, a sheer collared shirt with French cuffs and cufflinks, and a wide white necktie. Instead of a train, Cameron’s suit featured a one-shouldered cape that added a touch of drama when she emerged from the ceremony onto the ancient, cobbled streets of Montalcino. She carried a bouquet of elegant calla lilies. David matched his bride in a cream-coloured Giuliva Heritage suit featuring a double-breasted jacket and draped pants. He accessorized with a tan silk neck scarf and block-heeled black shoes.
Cameron and David are the latest power players to make a statement with wedding suits. When Dua Lipa married Callum Turner earlier this year, the Schiaparelli skirt suit she wore for the couple’s civil ceremony created massive buzz. A few days later, Lipa had her white wedding dress moment, wearing a feathery, heavily embellished custom Chanel Couture gown by Matthieu Blazy for the couple’s Sicilian bash.
Cameron followed the same wedding style equation, choosing a custom Valentino by Alessandro Michele dress for her more traditional bridal look. She took Vogue behind the scenes at her final fitting with the designer in Rome and offered some insight into the look they landed on.
“More than anything, I wanted the dress to be simple but special, and to feel like myself in it,” Cameron shared. “It’s so romantic.”
Cameron’s silk-satin dress featured a sleek corset bodice, a dramatic skirt with layers of white chiffon and a miles-long train. A standout detail of the gown was the dainty silk covered buttons running from the back of the dress down to the outer hemline of the train. The bride’s incredible veil was also created by Michele. The silk tulle veil featured a delicately hand-embroidered celestial motif—stars, moons and constellations—made from teeny tiny crystals and beads.
The patterning was a meaningful homage to the bride’s middle name, Celeste. “I wanted something very unique, and they really created an art piece.”
Damiano wore two tuxedos for the larger event: a black single-breasted jacket and a white double-breasted jacket, both with shawl collars and paired with wide black trousers. Both were created by Zegna. His stylist, Michael Potenza, offered an inside look at what went into creating his wedding wardrobe, sharing that the inspiration for his rock-star looks came from icons including Cary Grant, George Michael, Richard Gere and Marlon Brando. “I let Damiano tell me how he wanted to approach the wedding and its different moments,” Potenza said. “After that, I developed the entire wardrobe.”
We’ve got a few months left in 2026, but Cameron and David have already won this year’s wedding fashion game.
