October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and many brands are showing their support by donating their product’s proceeds to breast cancer research. If you’d like to give to the cause and want to know how you can help, here are some great products (from household product to jewlery) that are participating:
Pantene Beautiful Lengths
For each purchase one of Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths products, one dollar will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society. Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths campaign asks women to grow, cut and share their hair to support women undergoing cancer treatment. Since 2008, Canadians have donated more than 40,000 ponytails to create real-hair wigs for women in need. For one Pantene Beauty Lengths real-hair wig, it takes eight ponytails. Cashmere Bathroom Tissue
Every year Cashmere Bathroom Tissue holds a fabulous fashion show to support the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, where some of Canada’s top designers turn toilet paper into couture. This year the show featured designs from Izzy Camilleri, Adrian Wu, Cara Cheung and Yvonne Lin, just to name a few. Canadians can view the collection and support the cause by joining Cashmere’s unique Vote Couture for the Cure initiative at Facebook.com/Cashmere from September 19 through November 19. Fans are invited to vote for their favourite design and Cashmere will donate $1 per vote, up to $10,000, to the Foundation in the winning designer’s name. Voters will be entered in a draw to win one of four $2,500 shopping sprees. Limited-edition Pink Cashmere toilet paper, will also donate 25 cents from the sale of every package.
Bijoux Caroline Neron Collection Rose
In the last two years, the Collection Rose from Bijoux Caroline Neron has raised $80,000 for various breast cancer charities, and this year they will be donating 10 percent of their profits to The Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation of Quebec. The organization provides funds directed to families affected by breast cancer. This year the Collection Rose introduces the Les Deux Soeurs necklace ($70) to its line up. It is a double strand chain with two pink Swarovski pearls. To purchase, visit www.bijouxneron.com or one of their boutiques.
