Your Limo Awaits
Years ago I was in love with my high school sweetheart. She loved taking the bus and refused to let me pick her up on Valentine’s Day, so I hired a city bus ($322 at the time) and told her to call me just before she left. She called from her basement apartment saying she was going to catch the bus and I told her not to rush and to look outside because her limo awaited. She was shocked, but didn’t see any limo. I then told her, she was looking for the wrong kind of limo. Hers was red and white! Needless to say, showing up at the at an expensive restaurant in a bus may have looked a little odd. But as stubborn as she was about taking the bus, she got to take it anyways!
Facing Fears
My boyfriend and I went skydiving on our first date. We are both adventure junkies and it was a perfect way to bond while we got over our fear of jumping. We spent the rest of the day walking along the beach and drinking wine while watching the sunset. After one date it felt like we have known each other for a lifetime.
Kiss the Chef
My friends set me up on a blind date, so when it came to planning what we could do I wanted to come up with something that was fun but also something that would allow us to relax without too much pressure. A friend suggested we take a cooking class. It was the best idea! Neither of us were good cooks and we had a blast getting covered in flour. Learning something together outside our comfort zone was the perfect way to get to know eachother.
