Gotta hot date in the city and no place to go? Look no further than our list of no-fail Toronto date spots!
Ripley’s Aquarium
Definitely the hottest new date spot on the Toronto scene (we know, an aquarium, right?!) Ripley’s Aquarium opened this past fall and is literally taking the city by storm. From too-close-for-comfort shark sightings to brightly glowing jellyfish, this awe-inducing date night will leave you both feeling like you’re walking on water.
Nathan Phillips Square
Definitely our pick for a winter date of choice, there is nothing quite as romantic in this city as strolling down to Nathan Phillips Square for a romantic ice skate amongst the sparkle of the city’s Winter festival of lights. Bonus points if you can still look cute as you fall on your butt for the 25th time. In the summer, the rink turns into a nice pond and surrounded by benches, where you can relax with your special someone.
Snakes & Lagers
Not to be mistaken with its older (yet equally fun) sister venue Snakes & Lattes, this new pub combined two totally awesome things that, in our humble opinion, should be a part of every dating handbook: booze and board games. With 250+ games on hand and a great selection of drinks on tap, this place is the perfect place to channel your inner child with an adult spin.
St. Lawrence Market
Girls love shopping, boys love food. With this conclusion in mind, there is literally no better place in the city to head for a date than St. Lawrence Market. Located right in the heart of the downtown core, the market is accessible from just about anywhere in the city and offers up a whole plethora of interesting, unique, and local fare that will keep you both entertained for hours on end.
The ‘Licious Events
Sure, Winterlicious and Summerlicious only happen twice a year but let us tell you, when they do, you need to take full advantage of them. Whether it’s a first date or a 50th date, how can you go wrong with a three-course meal at one of the cities top restaurants for a fraction of the price? Simply, you can’t.
CN Tower EdgeWalk
You, him, and 1,168ft of death-defying open air? Sounds exhilarating right? And no, it’s not the cheapest date in the world (it starts at $175 per person) but believe us, it will undoubtedly be a date you’ll never, ever forget.
