What did we do before designer collaborations? Nothing. We did nothing. But now? We talk. And we plan. And we guess. And we get super stoked. Which is understandable, considering the latest chain/designer collaboration is H&M and Alexander Wang. (Cue: shocked gasps.)
Announced this weekend at Coachella, this endeavour will be the first time Wang and H&M work together, and will feature clothing and accessories for men and women. It'll be released on November 6 (just in time for the holidays — or, just in time to buy things for holiday parties) and available at 250 stores, and now you guys understand why I hate summer so much (because nothing exciting happens, let's be honest).
"I am honoured to be a part of H&M's designer collaborations," said Wang. "The work with their team is an exciting, fun process. They are very open to push boundaries and to set a platform for creativity. This will be a great way for a wider audience to experience the elements of the Alexander Wang brand and lifestyle."
Equally jazzed is H&M, who followed the designer's sentiments up with their own.
"Alexander Wang is one of the most important voices in fashion today," said Margareta van de Bosch, H&M's creative advisor. "He understands exactly what people want to wear and does it with an energy and passion that's infectious. It feels incredible to be collaborating with him this year."
