New York and London fashion weeks have wrapped up and I have chosen a few of my favourite beauty looks from the runway shows that you don’t have to wait until autumn to try.
Makeup at Erdem A/W 2014
"This is a fresh take on the rock and roll look – kohl on the inside of the eye, a damp eyelid and gorgeous skin make it really fresh and a little odd," said lead MARS Cosmetics makeup artists, Val Garland. “
Hair at Stella McCartney A/W 2014
“To create a foundation of beautiful, healthy hair – I used an Aveda prep product specific to each model’s hair texture and condition,” said Aveda Global Creative Director, Antoinette Beenders. “We completed each look by tousling and running the new Aveda Dry Remedy Moisturizing Oil through the hair for extra moisture and shine.”
Nails at Mathieu Mirano A/W 2014
Get this look by using Essie shades: First Base, Bordeaux, Licorice and Good to Go. Apply First Base, followed by two coats of Bordeaux to the right side of the nail. Next apply two coats of Licorice to the left side of the nail, and top off with a coat of Good to Go.
Hair at Badgley Mischka A/W 2014
“We wanted to create a style that would contrast the rich, opulent mood of the clothes and appeared light, with a touchable transparency and movement,” explained Peter Gray for Moroccanoil. “The strands have been designed to separate naturally as models walk, and hair, especially on the top of the head, is firm, luminous, and shiny.”
Makeup at Rag & Bone A/W 2014
“I was really inspired by the French Yé© Yé© girls of the sixties, so this look focuses on a bold eye with luminous skin.” said Revlon Global Artist Director, Gucci Westman. “I started with a cré¨me liner and then went over it with a liquid liner to create a more precise line. But this is not your typical cat eye; this look is about pushing it to the edge with a more graphic liner.”
