Fashion Weeks are taking place around the globe, giving a glimpse into what the spring season has in store for fashion and beauty. While we can’t get our hands on the clothes until next year, we can still borrow some of the beauty looks we saw on the runways. Why wait, right? Here are four of my favourites from Spring/Summer 2014 fashion weeks:
Marc Jacobs S/S 2014
"This is a summer look that's all about the eye,” said Founder & Creative Director at NARS, Frané§ois Nars, about the look at Marc Jacobs. “Most of the girls have a teal blue line, but some have royal blue, extending past both the inner and outer corner. The skin is very transparent for a flushed look."
Antonio Berardi S/S 2014
“For the Berardi girl, I wanted to create a subtle but impactful look,” said Makeup by Revlon Global Artistic Director, Gucci Westman about the Berardi look. “Skin was polished… Eyes had a touch of mauve colour to make it playful. I used Revlon Lash Potion Mascara on the top lashes and Kajal Eyeliner in Blue Nile on the tear line, like a china doll but not so literal. I kept the brows natural and brushed up. The key element of this look was a really matte mouth using Revlon ColorStay Lip Liner in Reds and Revlon’s new ColorBurst Matte Balm in Striking Spectaculaire, creating a very pronounced shape. Not diffused, but grown up and shaped.”
J Mendel S/S 2014
“This look is sporty and boyish but still glamorous and rich,” said Westman about the J Mendel look. “I wanted the skin to be really gorgeous and luminous with just a touch of bronze. For the lips I used three deep red shades, layered them together and topped it off with a coat of gloss. I’m really feeling the gloss this season.”
Rodarte S/S 2014
“Rodarte’s spring 2014 makeup inspiration evolved from Los Angeles and its sleek and minimal lines,” said Nars. “The eye makeup is precise and striking, accenting the graphic lines of their collection.”
