Deep clean:
Once you have found the right cleanser for your skin type, the first step to great skin is a deep clean. Try out a creamy cleanser if you have dry skin “ it will clean and hydrate, or a gel-based or water-based cleanser if you tend to have oily skin. Once you have found one that works – stick with it!
Exfoliate:
Exfoliating with a scrub or a mask 1-3 times a week will remove the top layer of dead skin cells leaving the skin looking less dull and give you a fresh face. It’s been said by beauty experts that the reason men’s skin looks more youthful than women’s of the same age is because men exfoliate as often as they shave their face. So take a hot tip from your guy and take care of your dead skin 5’oclock shadow.
Moisturize:
Whatever your skin type, it is supremely important in the upcoming cold months that you keep your skin hydrated. How often you moisturize is personal choice based on how your skin feels “ if your face is tight, it’s time to put some cream on it. The bonus: It’s been said that well moisturized skin can actually reverse signs of aging.
SPF:
Every expert will agree that the one thing, if anything that you should never forget to put on your face is a good sunscreen. Since birth it is has been drilled into our heads to put on SPF before going outside “ there’s a reason for that “ sun damage comes in levels of severity that include sun spots, wrinkles, or that leather face look that is definitely not high fashion (not to mention healthy). Yes, you may hate how they feel, or how greasy they can be “ but play around “ today formulas are a lot lighter and you may luck out and find the perfect moisturizer that also offers a high SPF.
