We always wear deodorant. It’s up there with washing our face and brushing our teeth. We’ve also been known to sniff out new armpit scents by loitering in the drugstore aisles so that we can smell what we’re getting ourselves into. But it pays off. It’s how we discovered Hello’s Natural Deodorant in “Clean + Fresh,” “Sweet Coconut,” “Fresh Citrus” and quite possibly our favourite, “Sage + Eucalyptus” scent.
All four of the green brand’s new, vegan, natural and aluminum-, baking soda- and paraben-free deodorants smell really good and contain environmentally and body-friendly ingredients. There’s moisture-absorbing arrowroot to wick away sweat and manage moisture production, making damp spots in our favourite white t-shirt a thing of the past. Tea tree oil eliminates gross B.O. (thank you!) by regulating the moisture in our armpits so that it’s not too dry and not too wet, while an infusion of coconut oil and Shea butter keeps our skin soft, smooth and hydrated.
Which brings us back to the four new scents and which one is our favourite of the bunch. Today, we’re wearing “Clean + Fresh,” because, well, we wanted to feel extra clean and fresh. But yesterday and the day before that and before that were all about the “Sage + Eucalyptus,” so who knows what tomorrow will bring. For now, we’re happy knowing that our pits are dry, we smell great and when we’re finished with each deodorant, we can toss the 100 per cent post-consumer recycled container into the green bin with a guilt-free conscience.
