It’s that time again when Pantone Inc., the authority in colour, releases their official Colour of the Year. After December 31st, 2013’s colouur, Emerald, will be out and it will officially be the year of Radiant Orchid.
The Pantone Colour Institute has been designating a colour of the year since 2000, and they base their choice on a variety of factors. Inspiration for the colour of the year has been known to include entertainment, upcoming films, art, emerging artists, travel destinations, lifestyles, new textures, and even upcoming sports events that capture worldwide attention.
