Inside Toronto’s Chicest Beauty Boutique Etiket

Love an immersive, luxury beauty shopping experience? There’s a fashionable new spot in Toronto where you can have just that: Etiket. At this haute beauty emporium, you can shop some of the world’s most exclusive fragrances, as well as elite skincare essentials. You can also treat yourself to one of the best facial and spa experiences in the city.

Etiket is a Montreal-based business founded by Simon Tooley in 2011 which quickly achieved cult status with beauty lovers. Its expansive online store has allowed everybody, everywhere, to enjoy the treasures of Etiket. Tooley has been working on an expansion of the brand and a flagship location in Toronto for a few years, and Etiket recently opened its very stylish doors at The Well, a cool new downtown shopping destination, and it’s a 6,500 square foot sanctuary of self-care.

I recently visited Etiket and was wowed by sheer beauty of the space (so light, so bright, so modern, so soothing), the product selection—there’s not a better fragrance department in the country—and the bespoke Tata Harper facial I enjoyed. Here’s a little more essential info about Etiket and why it’s the buzziest beauty spot in town.

The Shopping Experience

Prepare to be immersed in the best of luxury beauty at Etiket. All the brands here are top-tier and many of them are exclusive to Etiket. Tooley’s philosophy is to source and offer a carefully curated selection of high quality, original and effective skin care products from innovators and specialists from around the world. Those brands include SkinCeuticals, Tata Harper, Agent Nateur, Rahua, Augustinus Bader, Dr. Barbara Sturm, and Canadian brands Vivier, Pro-Derm, Sahajan, Bathorium and Consonant. There’s also makeup from brands including Ilia, RMS Beauty, Glo Skin Beauty, and homegrown Montreal-born brand Wonderblush.

When it comes to fragrance, Etiket is on a whole other level offering an aromatic and immersive shopping experience unlike any other. There’s not just an incredible volume of scents in the boutique, but the selection is all niche brands (over 40 in total) many of which are extremely rare to find not just in Canada, but in the world. A small sampling of some of Etiket’s greats: Penhaligons, Nishane, L’Artisan Parfumeur, Byredo, Creed, Escentric Molecules, and Masion Mataha. You can literally spend hours getting lost in the artful display of scents here. On the day I visited Etiket, I took a great amount of time to linger amongst the fragrances and ended up coming home with Giardini di Toscana’s Bianco Latté Body Cream, a milky and alluring vanilla gourmand scent that’s a viral phenomenon (to date it has over 22 million posts on TikTok) and rare to find in stock so I pounced on it. If you are a scent lover, Etiket is truly your paradise found.

The Spa Experience

Quietly tucked in the back of the boutique you’ll find an 1,800 square foot oasis of calm, the Etiket spa. There are six treatment rooms, all of which are sleek, airy, and cozy—these are spaces you’d love to spend the day tucked away and cocooned in. Facials are the passion here, and the menu of services is intensive encompassing everything from medical grade treatments from Hydrafacial MD and SkinCeuticals, to bespoke treatments from natural skincare favourite Tata Harper which is what I indulged in on my visit. Facialist Jacqueline customized the products she used in my service to suit my sensitive skin and deliver a serious glow up. This treatment also featured a ton of next-level facial massage to promote lymphatic drainage and firmer skin texture. I left my treatment looking seriously snatched and sparkly.
