Tones of the ‘80s are back in a big way, and Pantone’s choice for its shade of the year has only heightened the era’s retro influence. Peach Fuzz has been hailed Pantone’s Colour of the Year for 2024, a hue the global colour authority describes as being a “velvety gentle peach whose all-embracing spirit enriches mind, body, and soul.”

Promoting a mood of going softly into the year ahead amidst a time of great turmoil in the world, Pantone further defines Peach Fuzz as being a warm and cozy hue highlighting our needs to feel safe and connected with each other.

“A cozy peach hue softly nestled between pink and orange Pantone 13-1023 Peach Fuzz brings belonging, inspires recalibration, and an opportunity for nurturing, conjuring up an air of calm, offering us a space to be, feel, and heal and to flourish from whether spending time with others or taking the time to enjoy a moment by ourselves,” says Leatrice Eiseman, executive director, Pantone Color Institute. “Drawing comfort from Peach Fuzz, we can find peace from within, impacting our wellbeing. An idea as much as a feeling, this colourawakens our senses to the comforting presence of tactility and cocooned warmth.”

Incorporating Peach Fuzz into your home as an accent shade for tableware, and accessories like rugs and linens is a beautiful way to add warmth to your décor story. Fashion wise, we love the colour to add an element of softness and romanticism to your daily ‘fits. Chunky knitwear, retro sneakers and peachy finish pearl accessories are some stylish ways to wear the colour.

It’s in the beauty realm where Peach Fuzz truly shines though. Warm up with monochromatic makeup looks that are a fresh change from the rosy, pink tones which have dominated for so many seasons. Peach Fuzz is a shade that looks beautiful on every skin tone because it can err on the side of warm or cool.

As a redhead, I am particularly excited to rock a peachy new beauty vibe because this shade was absolutely made for gingers. Below, seven Peach Fuzz beauty musts I’m shopping for now.
