Fragrance Of The Month: Tocca Lucia EDP

Fragrance Of The Month: Tocca Lucia EDP

Time travel back to 1994 when a group of friends, while vacationing in St. Lucia, imagined capturing lush garden scents in beautiful artisanal bottles. Sunned and relaxed and back in their tiny apartment in New York City’s garment district, these friends made their vision a reality, named it Tocca and haven’t looked backwards since. Although we’re certain many beach vacations have followed.

As has the luxurious brand’s latest parfum, Lucia.

Fresh and luminous, this dolce far niente-inspired (the Italian tradition of the art of slow living) perfume is as glorious to wear as it sounds. On first spritz, zesty notes of lemon oil, grapefruit and mandarin flourish amid an invigorating marine accord. Warm and sunny fig, fig tree leaves, upcycled rose water and geranium soon waft forward before easing into an elixir of earthy and intimate vetiver, cedarwood, tobacco and fig tree wood. The overall effect is radiant and bright, soulful and soft, captivating and elegant.

The eau de parfum’s weighty, round shaped and bevelled glass flacon fits perfectly in our palm. It’s embellished brass-hued cap features an embroidered-like assortment of whimsical birds, fireflies and leaves for a fashionable finish.

Tocca Lucia EDP, from $200 for 50 ml, available online at www.amazon.ca.
