TOMS Partners with National Geographic for Big Cats Collection

TOMS has partnered with National Geographic for a limited-edition collection that honours the world’s big cats. TOMS regularly partners with nonprofit animal conservation organizations through the TOMS Animal Initiative, which helps to raise awareness and funding for animal protection issues around the world. This year, their partnership with National Geographic is helping to protect big cats.

When I learned that wild lions are at risk of being extinct, it inspired me to start the TOMS Animal Initiative, said Heather Mycoskie, TOMS Chief Animal Lover. Big cats in the wild are disappearing at an alarming rate, and this collection draws attention to the critical need to protect these majestic creatures for generations to come.

National Geographic launched their Big Cats initiative in 2009, and has been running conservation and educational projects in Africa, Asia, and North and South America. The initiative has been helping to prevent lion snaring and poaching, while building livestock enclosures to protect all endangered cats.

The TOMS and National Geographic Big Cats Collection includes footwear for women, men and kids, sunglasses for women and men, and a unisex backpack. Each item features a design element inspired by a big cat, as well as National Geographic photography. The shoes all have a sandy nude colour, with leopard print or paw print accents. The sunglasses have a subtle animal print along the frames and are accompanied by the most gorgeous cleaning cloths you’ve ever seen, which are imprinted with a photograph of a big cat. The backpack is an army green with stripes along the front and brown accents.

The Big Cats Collection is available starting today at TOMS.ca. Prices range from $38 to $169 CAD. To learn how you can get involved with the initiative, visit CauseAnUproar.org/TOMS.
