Seven best sites for shopping online

Online shopping definitely has its advantages and disadvantages. It can certainly prove convenient for days when you’re unable to head to your local shopping centre and buy clothing in person. At times, you can also find great deals and high quality over the Internet, saving money as well. As more women started to realize the potential of online shopping, these websites grew in popularity and acquired reputations among their users for customer service and stress-free shipping. Here’s a list of some of the most popular shopping sites and what to expect from them:

  1. ShopBop.com: Featuring an amazing variety of designer apparel (such as Juicy Couture, Alexander Wang, Alice + Olivia, Mackage, and Herve Leger, to name a few), ShopBop has a wide selection of outerwear, denim, shoes, and dresses. From leather leggings, trendy handbags and stylish knits to an impressive maternity collection, this site truly has something for every woman (as long as she has deep pockets). ShopBop offers haute couture, and the steep prices on its site may be discouraging. If you’re looking for a new outfit under $100, this certainly isn’t the best option!

  2. Ssense.com is ShopBop’s Canadian counterpart, offering high-priced yet gorgeous apparel and household fashion names. Diane von Furstenberg, Diesel, Miss Sixty, and Marc Jacobs are all available online, and like ShopBop, they have items on sale as well.

  3. Shopzilla.com: With everything from pea coats and jewelry to skincare products and perfumes up for sale, Shopzilla is truly your online destination for one-stop shopping. Affordable prices, recognized brand names, and great gift ideas make Shopzilla a shopaholic’s paradise.

  4. Zappos (canada.zappos.com): Who doesn’t enjoy shopping for shoes? A quick check online reveals black studded Cole Haan flats, beautiful grey D Aileen boots by Geox, and staggeringly high GUESS stilettos, among many others. Although Zappos is applauded for their astonishing range of footwear, the site also boasts great clothing and accessories.

  5. Net-a-porter.com: Based in London, England, this British website’s claim to fame is its super stylish pieces and popularity among the fashionista crowd. Net-a-porter is currently advertising their bag guide, which includes purses from Michael Kors, Burberry Prorsum, and Alexander McQueen.

  6. StyleFly.ca, created in 2004, lives up to its intention of becoming a proudly Canadian one-stop shopping site.On their website, you have the option to shop by designer or category, use their sizing guide to make sure your new clothes will fit perfectly, or even order a gift certificate for a friend. Along with an array of adorable, cozy sweaters, they sell Foxy Originals jewelry and Cake Beauty products.

  7. CyberShopping.ca: It’s just like your favourite mall- except from the comfort of your living room. A type of search engine for virtual shops, Canada’s online shopping mall claims to offer helpful information on over 1580 sites. With a coupon database, lists of both new and popular shops, and links to online plus-size stores (such as Kiyonna and Curvilicious Clothes), perhaps Square One faces some competition! One thing’s for sure, this isn’t a site to miss if you’re looking for unique and trendy additions to your wardrobe.

I can also recommend Dealuxe.ca (just got a pair of Dolce Vita sandals 50% off) and Aldoshoes.com has a wicked rretun policy – they take anything back at any store location. Online shopping is awesome, but trying to return stuff is the worst.
