Jayden James is stepping further into the spotlight.
The 19-year-old son of Britney Spears and Kevin Federline is making his move into the beauty world with a new modelling gig for MAC Cosmetics.
On Tuesday, August 25, Jayden was unveiled as the latest cover star of MACzine, the beauty brand’s recently relaunched digital publication. He follows names including Doja Cat and Love Island USA star Olandria Carthen, who have previously appeared in the publication.
For his cover, Jayden poses holding a bottle of the brand’s iconic MAC Fix+ Setting Spray alongside a rather direct introduction: “Who the f–k is Jayden James?”
The accompanying interview gives readers a little more of an answer, with Jayden opening up about everything from his “perfect day” to the secret behind his skin.
“Hydration always, but my girlfriend does my whole routine for me, so she’s really the expert,” he shared when asked about his beauty routine.

MAC Global Creative Director Nicola Formichetti said Jayden’s emerging creative identity made him a natural choice for the cover.
“At MAC, we celebrate emerging talent and love following their creative journeys,” Formichetti said in a statement. “Jayden’s unique sensibility makes him the perfect MACzine cover star. He’s also an incredible pianist, and I’m so excited to see what he does next.”
The MAC moment comes just months after Jayden and his older brother, Sean Preston, 20, made their runway debuts during Paris Men’s Fashion Week, walking in Vetements’ Spring/Summer 2027 show in June.
For Jayden, the experience appears to have sparked an interest in pursuing modelling more seriously.
“I feel like I could do better, since this was my first fashion show and everything,” he told Vogue in July. “I could master my walk better—I was definitely stiff because I was nervous.”
Britney didn’t attend the show, but Jayden revealed that his famous mom was very much involved from afar.
“Oh my god, she was so nervous for us. She was just looking out for us and making sure that this was what we wanted to do,” he told Vogue. “[S]he sent us flowers to our hotel as a good luck thing, and called and texted us so many times. It was good to have that and to carry that with us before we went out there.”
According to Jayden, Spears never doubted that her sons could handle their first trip down the runway.
“I feel like she knew we had it,” he recalled. “She was like, ‘Yeah, you guys are my sons. You’ve got this.’”
With a Paris Fashion Week debut now followed by a MAC cover just a few months later, Jayden appears to be wasting little time carving out a place for himself in the fashion and beauty worlds.
