Most Anticipated Canadian Designers at Toronto Fashion Week

Twice a year, the women of Toronto convene to attend the city’s most fabulous event – World Mastercard Fashion Week. It’s 5 days of shows, parties, and unlimited street style inspo – a wonderful time indeed. So in anticipation of the most fashionable week of the year, we’ve compiled a list of designers we can’t wait to see this season.

Mikael D
If anyone knows how to put on a show, it’s Mikael D. Every collection he puts on the runway has the whole crowd spellbound. Clearly celebrities feel the same way on account of everyone from Britney Spears to Ariana Grande wearing his beautiful creations to events.

Pink Tartan
Amidst the hectic frenzy of fashion week, Pink Tartan always seems to have a way to resonate calmness and serenity. Last season, the collection involved clean lines and rich hues, which were only emphasized with the soothing decor. We came out feeling zen as if we were returning from yoga, except this version of yoga involved the chicest pieces in all the land.

Hayley Elsaesser
Making her debut just two seasons ago, we fell in love with Hayley Elsaesser as soon as we saw her models’ glitter dusted hair. Her shows can be described more as parties than fashion shows, and we can’t wait to attend her colourful, fun-filled show this season.

Mackage
Edgy, wearable, luxe. Quite possibly the only brand that had us itching for fall so we could rock their badass leather jackets.

Sid Neigum
Clean lines juxtaposed against voluminous silhouettes that reminded us of the origami swans we tried and failed to master in our youth had us swooning.

Rudsak
The Rudsak collection was basically a 101 on How To Be A Minx. Seriously though, the slick leather jackets and fitted dresses were made for a modern day Sandy from Grease.
