Lady Gaga Goes Gothic In A Feathered Matiéres Fécales Dress At The 2026 Grammys

Lady Gaga returned to her dramatic roots for the 68th annual Grammy Awards, held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. Gaga turned heads on the red carpet wearing a striking sculptural gown covered in black feathers from the Paris-based label Matières Fécales.

Gaga is famously no stranger to an outré red carpet look… remember the famous meat dress that she wore to the 2010 VMAs?

As for the gown that Gaga wore to the 2026 Grammys…The curvaceous silhouette of the Matières Fécales gown featured a high neckline with feathers standing upright and framing her face, pronounced hips, and a flared skirt leading into a dramatic train.

The feather motif continued inside during the ceremony. For her performance of “Abracadabra,” Gaga honoured the legendary Alexander McQueen, wearing look 36 from the late designer’s fall/winter 2009 collection. Though she removed the woven eyeball headpiece when she took the stage to accept the Grammy for best dance pop recording, Gaga kept the red and black feathered, shoulder-padded top and hip-padded skirt.

Gaga was one of the night’s top nominees, with seven nods tied for second-most overall after Kendrick Lamar. She ultimately took home two awards: Best Dance Pop Recording and Best Pop Vocal Album for Mayhem. Prior to the 2026 awards show, Gaga was already a 14-time Grammy winner.

“I’ve been making music since I was a little girl, and every time I’m here, I still feel like I need to pinch myself,” she said during her acceptance speech. “I respect everybody in this room so much.”
