Weddings are a cash grab. No matter how you slice it, it’s gonna cost you an arm, a leg, and probably your lunch money. That being said, there are some easy ways to stay on budget, while keeping things elegant, beautiful and achieving your ‘dream’ wedding!
One way to keep on budget is to find an affordable wedding dress. If you watch Say Yes To the Dress as much as I do, you’ll know that some can set you back as far as $1,500-100,000! YIKES! Thankfully, there are some beautiful gowns that can take your breath away for under $1000. Here are some of my favorites:
1) JCrew: Silk Chiffon is a universally flattering material. It always falls perfectly for a beautiful A-line shape. This strapless Nadia gown is elegant and memorable! And for only $750!
2) Jenny Yoo: Monarch Dress. I love a simple and elegant dress. The Jenny Yoo Monarch dress is romantic and beautiful. Floor length and A-line shape is versatile and timeless. Accessorize with diamonds, a headband and possibly a lace bolero (for a fall wedding), this could be stunning- classic and chic.
3) Vera Wang White: Vera Wang has an affordable luxurious line of wedding dresses that are available at David’s bridal. Our favourite is her Organza Gown with Draped Bodice and Tulle Skirt. It is stunning, princess-y and under $800! It’s quite a bargain and looks like a million bucks.
4) David’s Bridal: Lace, lace, and more lace. There is something simply beautiful about lace and beading. This dress reminds me of a vintage Monique Lhuillier, but for a fraction of the price. Cap sleeves, lace details and a beaded sash make this dress look exquisitely expensive and a totally steal for only $650!
5) Nicole Miller: Nicole Miller has some amazing (and danceable) wedding dresses for a modern bride. The Lia dress is one of my favorites. The satin looks luxurious and drapes so elegantly that it’ll showcase your amazing figure. It’s modern and romantic.
