Alright everybody, I know it’s Black Friday and we’re all a little psyched, but too bad because you have to start saving for Smythe’s brand new e-commerce site, launching this spring.
The brand’s first-ever e-commerce platform will serve Canadians exclusively upon its launch and will carry Smythe’s ready-to-wear collections. We’ll also get access to a wider range of styles, including The Duchess Blazer, made famous by Kate Middleton.
“As a proud Canadian brand and long-time wholesaler, we are looking forward to our first direct and personal connection to our customer,” said Andrea Lenczner, co-designer of Smythe.
“This is an opportunity for us to present the Brand the way we design it, as a complete collection,” added Christie Smythe, the label’s other co-designer.
So here’s what we can look forward to come spring: Smythe’s well-known blazers, plus blouses, knits, dresses, novelty suiting and outerwear. The collection has also been described as “an exercise in bold femininity” so there’s that. Also, we can look forward to everything from bold shoulders to ruffles to Grecian-knots so the countdown is on.
And if you’re like, “Okay, but why don’t I know this brand,” it’s fine, it’s not like there’s been a stand-alone shop: so far, Smythe has only been available in Canada at Holt Renfrew, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, and Intermix (and online at Neiman Marcus and Shopbop). Though it’s made an appearance on Gigi Hadid, Beyonce, Rachel McAdams, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Amber Heard, plus a slew of other famouses, so this is the part where you drop knowledge of the e-commerce site and impress everyone with how knowledgeable you are about everything. Full bless.
The countdown to spring 2017 is on.
