Did You Know That Victoria Beckham Had a Hip Hop Album?

Oh yes, you read that correctly.

In 2003, Victoria Beckham, who we’re guessing was still a little high from that newlywed love with hubby David Beckham, partnered with Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Damon Dash and decided to record a six-track demo for an album called Come Together.

Perhaps in an attempt to shed her “Posh Spice” persona, the songs are a pop/hip hop mix with tones of feminism (girl power!) and odes to her boo, David Beckham. There’s also a verse from Ol’ Dirty Bastard, if you were questioning this album’s street cred.

For whatever reason, the album never came to fruition. But, bless the magical abyss that is the internet because someone (who allegedly procured the tapes by buying them off eBay) leaked the tracks, and we are here for it! We’re not saying these are all absolute bangers to be played at the club ASAP, but, full disclosure: we may/may not actually want to dance to a few of these tunes.

Below are the songs (and a music video!) for your viewing/listening pleasure. You are so so welcome.

Like, how 2000s are these?

This one’s got that Don’t Mess With My Man vibe for sure.

We’re not sure if this blast from the past is a welcome discovery for Victoria Beckham, but we’re sure glad it surfaced. What do you think of these tracks? Yay or nay?
