GUESS has held its own for more than a few decades, with its advertisements drawing nearly as much as attention as the clothes themselves.
Well now Canadians have a chance to be the next GUESS Girl, thanks to a new partnership between the brand and Ford Models.
“From my very first campaign for GUESS over 30 years ago to now, it always starts with finding the right model to portray the GUESS Girl,” said CEO and creative director, Paul Marciano.
“When casting a photo is very important to show me the chemistry the girl has with the camera,” he continued. “I am looking forward to seeing the entry photos and finding great new talent that personify the freedom, passion, and wonder of GUESS.”
But here’s the fun part: on Saturday, April 27, women 16 and up are invited to the Yorkdale Shopping Mall GUESS where they can enter – in person – for a chance to win. And what they will win is a trip to New York City for a GUESS shoot to appear in ELLE, a $2500 GUESS shopping spree, and the chance to become a Ford model.
If you can’t get to Yorkville in person, head to GUESSGIRL.com to enter, or upload three images to the GUESS Facebook page between April 19 – May 15. The public will then vote in 25 semi-finalists from May 24 to June 7, where five finalists will be chosen by Marciano, and representatives from Ford and ELLE.
Exciting, and good luck!
