Scarlett Johansson and Matthew McConaughey star in a short film to promote Dolce & Gabbana's signature scents, The One and The One for Men. Martin Scorsese directed the film, titled "Street of Dreams," which is a 60-second story of love and dreams.
The One is a combination of Oriental florals and Madonna Lily, mixed with vanilla and amber tones to create a contrast of feminine and musky. The One for Men is both spicy and fruity with hints of tobacco, grapefruit, coriander and basil.
"The One and The One for Men encapsulate everything we do and how we see the Dolce & Gabbana man and the Dolce & Gabbana woman: multifaceted personalities, eternally contemporary, naturally charming, and always at the center of attention," said Stefano Gabbana. "Fragrances with sensual sophistication and potent spirit in equal measure. Bringing such a unique cast together seemed like the best way to celebrate this."
Domenico Dolce added: "We asked Martin Scorsese to convey this uniqueness as he sees it. We wanted it to be a deeply personal portrayal. And that's what it is: the film has Scorsese written all over it: it's his New York, his story and his signature sweeping camera movements."
In the film, Johansson and McConaughey revisit the characters they have already created for the scents in their respective ad campaigns. This is the first time both characters collide, as they play two people who seemingly missed their chance at love. In "Street of Dreams," they are both back in the city they love and find themselves feeling nostaligic for their former romance.
