Fans of “hey girl”, handsome gentlemen and Ryan Gosling in general should prepare themselves for some disappointment tonight. Despite receiving two monimations, Ryan Gosling will not be at tonight’s Golden Globes.
Evidently, the Crazy In Love and Ides of March nominee has a “previous commitment” and is “working out of the country.”
Currently filming Only God Forgives in Bangkok, Thailand, Ryan Gosling will be officially missing from tonight’s roster – which is especially disappointing since watching he and his Mom walk down previous years’ Oscar red carpet was an award season highlight.
But there’s still a lot to look forward to. Presenters tonight include Natalie Portman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Nicole Kidman and Clive Owen, and despite the absence of Ryan Gosling, we can numb the pain with the awkward feeling that will inevitably stem from watching Ricky Gervais drink too much and hurl insults at celebrities.
So will Ryan Gosling win? The actor is pitted against Ideas of March co-star George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael Fassbender and Brad Pitt for the Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Drama) category, and stacked against the likes of Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Owen Wilson in the Comedy category.
Either way, we won’t be at a loss for good-looking nominees at the Golden Globes tonight.
