She hosts a talk show, judges American Idol and makes each and every one of us want to bust a move and give her a hug, but for Ellen Degeneres, that’s not enough “ she’s just announced plans to launch her own record label. (And the phrase Jack of all trades now has an entirely new meaning.)
On today’s talk show, the beloved host revealed that she’ll be signing Greyson Chance “ the young Paparazzi-singing sensation who she had recently had on as a guest and who successfully wowed and charmed the crowds with the Lady Gaga cover. Not only that, but the young lad will be co-managed by Gaga’s manager himself, Troy Carter, as well as Madonna’s manager, Guy Osery. (Needless to say, average is a term Greyson is guaranteed not to hear ever again.)
Of his launch into upcoming super-stardom, the singer “ to be jointly signed with Interscope Records “ told Ellen: It’s crazy thinking about 30 million people. It just makes me happy. It really hasn’t sunken in yet. It has been two weeks and it still hasn’t sunken in yet. It’s awesome.
So basically, we have the next Justin Bieber on our hands “ but minus the attitude, street lingo and inevitable backlash.
