Kelly Osbourne is the New Face of Material Girl

Kelly Osbourne is the latest celebrity to lend her modelling talents to Material Girls, the fashion line created by Madonna and her daughter, Lourdes Leon.

Replacing Gossip Girl actress Taylor Momsen, Kelly is featuerd in the newest advertisements for the fashion line, showing off their funky and colourful Spring 2011 collection. 

I think Material Girl is a brand for any woman and every woman – it’s affordable to everyone, it makes you feel special when you wear it! It’s edgy, but at the samet ime, really classic, said Kelly of her latest endeavor. 

The ads themselves are very Madonna-esque. Inspired by the 80’s, these photographs are laced in bright colours, lots of graffiti, tons of bangles, and even a big boom box. The entire series of advertisements was meant to be reminiscent of Madonna’s early days in New York City’s East Village. 

“I take so much of my style from Madonna in the ’80s and I really admire how Lola [Lourdes] dresses and that she stays true to herself, Kelly said. It’s such an honor to be a part of this campaign and it was an amazing experience to work with Madonna and Lola. Material Girl is incredible because it’s high fashion but it is accessible to everyone at Macy’s.”

And accessibility is exactly what Lourdes was hoping for. 

“I don’t go out and buy all of these expensive [clothes]¦so it’s good for my friends. It’s good for everybody and it’s good clothing, too,” said the young designer. The Material Girl line is available at the Bay in Canada.
