In one of the biggest surprises of the year so far (and yes, we know it’s 20 days in, but give us a break), Heidi Klum is filing for divorce from Seal.
According to TMZ, Heidi Klum will “file divorce papers in L.A. County Superior Court as early as next week.” She’s listed “irreconciable differences” as the cause for the split.
Heidi Klum and Seal married on May 10, 2005 and have three biological kids – Seal even adopted Heidi Klum’s eldest girl she had from a previous relationship. Since then, the couple have renewed their vows every year in a “lavish” ceremony, and were believed to be happy by the public – especially since they were last spotted on December 27 on a vacation in Aspen.
As for Heidi Klum and Seal’s assets, we’ve yet to see how complicated that procedure gets: last year, Heidi Klum made $20 million, while Seal’s finances have yet to be determined.
Either way, this news is bleak – even during Heidi Klum’s appearance on Cityline late last year, she spoke about how much she loved her soon-to-be ex.
