Cameron Diaz has unveiled her first collection for Pour La Victoire, including both footwear and handbags. As the brand's artistic director, she had already offered a few styles in a capsule collection earlier this year. This new collection is a full range and mimics the actresses own shoe wardrobe.
Diaz says she is bringing function back to footwear and moving away from super high heels.
"When I first started working on the Pour La Victoire shoe collection, the fashion at the time was really high, high platforms. It wasn't something I was wearing necessarily because I have so much height already," she said. "I'm such a stickler for shoes and function. And that's what we are getting back to with this line – function."
"And I really love a good heeled boot because I move quickly on my feet and I want something that's going to stay on. That's why with my Pour La Victoire line you see strappy bits on some shoes. Because functionally you want something that looks good on the foot but stays on the foot and doesn't require a lot of work to do so."
Diaz's collection sticks to grey, black and light teal hues, with a pop of colour in red ankle boots. Ankle boots certainly seem to be her favourite style of choice, with several variations from high stilettos to flat and functional. The handbags also have varying styles, from clutches to structured purses and a boho shoulder bag. Prices range from $195 to $495 USD.
