Despite her latest reality series, Audrina, having been cancelled, Audrina Patridge has recently spoken out against reality television, claiming that leaving the institution saved her love life.
“Filming a reality television show really takes a toll on relationships because your mindset is to create good TV,” Patridge revealed. “It’s hard on relationships, so after the show [current boyfriend] Corey [Bohan] and I really worked on what’s going on with us.”
And while Audrina’s being honest, you can’t help but wonder whether a relationship that begins on a VH1 can really be as “good” as the former Hills star implies (especially since they’ve probably been focused on the “good TV” aspect for a while). That, and the small issue of the couple’s breakup being the main storyline of the series’ finale.
“I took five to six months off just to relax,” said Audrina. “With seven straight years of filming, I didn’t really get time to organize my house or do things for myself, so I took some time off. I moved to the beach.”
A statement that’s relatively surprising considering Audrina Patridge’s Hills existence was based mainly around moving into her house and going to the beach. But as for next year? Audrina Patridge hopes to stage a comeback – one that trumps her recent stint on Dancing With the Stars (we hope).
“I’m back again, refreshed and not burnt out,” Audrina affirmed. “I know I’ve been kind of laying low lately, but next year I’m really looking forward to working and getting back out there. I have some really great projects I’m working on.”
Bring them on! (Provided none of them include even a little bit of Justin Bobby.)
