Anais Gallagher Makes Modelling Debut

Considering Cindy Crawford’s daughter Kaia is only 10 years old, we shouldn’t necessarily be shocked that 12-year-old Anais Gallagher is being branded the new fashion it-girl.

The daughter of Meg Matthews and Oasis’ Noel Gallagher, Anais Gallagher has starred in her first photo shoot, accompanyed by her mother who’s clearly given her the blessing.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Anais Gallagher has been in the spotlight. Since being photographed by Mario Testino in January, the youngster was pegged as the next Kate Moss, while her mother refrained from making comment.

Now signed to Select Models (who represent Agnyss Deyn and Natasha Poly), Anais Gallagher will still not be making any “professional” commitments until she’s older, but the latest photoshoot still proves her potential.

But should older models be nervous? With a new crop of younger-than-ever girls peppering campaigns and the runways, to be in your early 20s seems almost taboo – and this after it was revealed earlier this week that Agyness Deyn is actually 29 (and lied about her age in 2006).

Out with the (not even) old, in with the 12-year-olds? Here’s hoping there’s room for everyone.
