There was tons happening at Toronto Fashion week, from stellar street style to sleuthing new backstage beauty stash to snapping all of the action, it's been a busy week to say the least. But as the week draws to a close, we're looking back at the last five days and over 30 shows to bring you the best beauty trends we spotted at Toronto Fashion Week.
Nail colour (say what?)
One of the biggest hallmarks of runway nails is a designer choosing nude. After last season’s fresh take on the French manicure, it was nice to see Rita Remark, Essie lead nail artist and global lead educator, and the Essie Canada team do something a little different. What was that, you ask? Colour. From the dark green and navy alternatives to black nails at Mikhael Kale to the colour-blocked beauties at WRKDEPT (even on the guys) to a sweet pretty kiss at Hilary MacMillan (and obviously at Hayley Elsaesser), even when it was monochromatic, it was still the colour we’d been seriously lacking.
