Cream Blush

Choosing the right shade of blush can sometimes be a daunting task, but then you have to decide whether you prefer powder, cream, mousse or gel formulas and that can leave you without a rosy glow.

Choose the cream blush based on your natural skin tone, but don’t be afraid of bright pinks and corals, these are two of the most universally flattering colours on women.

To apply blush colour, dot the cream blush on the apples of your cheek bone. The apple of your cheek is the top part of your cheek bone on either side.

Use your fingertips (the warmth from your fingertips will help soften the blush) to blend up and out in circular motion into the apple and cheekbone area and blend the cream blush into your hairline.

If you prefer using a brush, look for a large, soft blending brush. Again, using a circular motion, the colour should be mixed into the skin and foundation, creating a natural look.

By blending the blush, you soften the edges around the color, creating a natural transition from plain skin to slightly rosy skin to glowing rosy skin. This is how your cheeks appear when they are naturally flushed and how you should always appear when your cheeks are highlighted with blush.
