As spring rapidly advances, so too does the task of winter purging. But just as you pack away woolly sweaters and corduroys to make room for cotton dresses and denim shorts, your fragrance should also be replaced for warmer weather. Winter scents that contain notes of spice of musk may hold-up well during the chilly months, but are simply too heavy and overpowering in the heat.
So read on below for lighter scents that will put a definite spring in your step:
Marc Jacobs: Daisy Eau, So Fresh
A fresh new spin on the original Daisy scent, the new fragrance is playful, bubbly and energizing. With notes of natural raspberry, grapefruit, pear, violet, wild rose, apple blossom, cedarwood, plum and musks, the scent is the perfect feminine complement to spring.
Calvin Klein: CK, One Summer
Hard to believe, but CK One was first launched in 1994! Proving the fragrance has staying power, the new summer edition is a crisp, cool and invigorating scent with notes of tangerine, water fern, melon, lemon, sea breeze accord, blue freesia, verbena, rhubarb, cedarwood, skin musk, incense and peach skin. And of course, never deviating from the original, the scent is completely unisex.
Chanel: Coco Mademoiselle, Fresh Hair Mist
For some of you, it may be difficult to part with your beloved scent come spring, but you don’t have to”completely, that is. Why not try your scent in a lighter formulation, like Coco Mademoiselle’s Fresh Hair Mist? The hair mist imparts a delicate fragrance on your hair and also contains a silicone derivative that leaves hair soft and shiny and protects against drying.
Avon: Reese Witherspoon, Expressions
Avon Global Ambassador and America’s Sweetheart, Reese Witherspoon has designed a new collection of ˜moody’ scents for the beauty empire that consists of three fragrances. The first, Love to the Fullest, which will be released in April, ˜channels a sensual, sexy vibe with shimmering top noted of succulent black cherry, peony and amber and woods’.
