Beauty Tips From Your Pantry

Using every day items in your pantry allows you an all natural beauty regimen. There are many different products that with a little work on your part gives you all natural ways to clean your skin and clean your hair. Leave the additives behind and save some money by using kitchen items that will make you beautiful naturally.

Oatmeal Facial Scrub

Oatmeal makes a great facial exfoliate scrub for you skin and moisturizes it at the same time. Grind up some whole oats into a coarse meal then mix with a little milk to form a paste. Scrub the oatmeal paste gently over your face then leave it on for a few minutes before washing the oatmeal off with warm water. The oatmeal gives your face a youthful, vibrant glow.

Honey Facial Scrub

Honey is very good for skin with acne since there is an antibacterial property in honey. Use a spoon of honey and scrub it gently over your face. Allow the honey to sit for 10 minutes then wet your hands for a second scrub with the honey, let sit for a few more minutes then complete by washing the honey off your face. The honey will leave your skin soft and smooth feeling.

Dry Hair Shampoo

Use cornstarch as a dry shampoo to clean your hair without water. Measure 1/2 cup of cornstarch and sprinkle into the hair, let it sit for a few minutes then brush out of the hair. This is a good dry shampoo particularly for those with oily hair.

Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Conditioner

Apple cider vinegar is a good choice to soften your hair. Use a tablespoon of the vinegar to a liter of water and mix, then use as your final rinse after washing your hair. The vinegar smell lessens as your hair dries. Apple cider vinegar helps restore the PH balance of your hair, leaving it soft and shiny. If you would like to add a pretty smell to your conditioner add pieces of chamomile, lemon peel, orange peel, rosemary, sage, or lavender plant to your rinse mix. 

Avocado Deep Hair Conditioner

This avocado hair conditioner is simple to make. Peel and pit 1/2 avocado, mix with a small jar of mayonnaise until uniformly green, then leave the mixture on your hair for 20 minutes covered with plastic wrap or a shower cap. Rinse the mixture out of your hair. The conditioner will leave your hair smooth and shiny.
