What it is:
L’Oreal’s Color Radiance Shampoo, Conditioner and Protecting Mask for Dry Coloured Hair, is a three-step regimen that works to protect and prolong colour thanks to an innovative UV filter, that keeps your hair soft, shiny and moisturized. According to L’Oré©al, regular use of the shampoo and conditioner will keep your hair vibrant and nourished, while use of the Protecting Mask will further ensure that your haircolour remains shiny and radiant. All three can be used as part of your morning routine, with weekly use of the Protecting Mask suggested.
How it works:
Regular use of the shampoo and conditioner works to nourish the hair by transforming the surface, using a UV filter to help protect the hair fibre from any exterior threats. Using the Protecting Mask on a weekly basis will also repair any additional damage, as its moisture-rich qualities increase colour resistance and replenish moisture.
And the verdict is:
I’m sold. I’ve never been one to believe in colour protecting products since my hair seems to fall victim to regular shampooing and heat damage, but for the first time, I actually noticed a difference. After about three days, my hair felt softer, my tempermental colour still existed and after blow-drying and straightening every morning, my hair continued to look healthy as opposed to a victim of over-styling gone awry. I might not necessarily invest in the Protecting Mask again (regular use of the conditioner seems to work just as well), but I haven’t been disappointed by its use, and its scent is absolutely lovely.
Is it worth the hype:
Absolutely. Contrary to popular belief, not all colour-protecting products are all the same, and for once I actually reaped the benefits of using a shampoo and conditioner tailored to my hair’s needs. Especially valuable since I’m dealing with winter dryness and static on top of it.
